(Shreveport, LA) The Attorney Advertiser, LLC is in contact with producers of the upcoming documentary titled “A Lawyer Walks into a Bar”. The film, produced by Emmy-Nominated producer Tasha Oldham and directed by Emmy-Nominated Eric Chaikin, “explorers the influence of the law and its practitioners” and America’s love-hate relationship with lawyers. The film is sympathetic to lawyers and the many challenges they face.
The documentary features cameos by legal luminaries, politicians, well-known comedians, celebrity lawyers and other notables. Eddie Griffin, Robert Shapiro (counsel to O.J. Simpson), Allan Dershowitz, CNN’s Nancy Grace, Court TV’s Catherine Crier, Comedy Central’s Ian Black, ABC’s John Stossel, and many others.
Producers learned of The Attorney Advertiser’s work as a result of extensive research into law firm advertising. “After contacting one of our clients about using his commercial in the film, they reviewed our web site and asked for a number of other clients ads. They felt we had an uncanny, not-often-seen creativity for law firm advertising according to the producers,” said Chad Shipp, President. The film will feature a segment on law firm advertising and the 1970’s Supreme Court decision that opened the door to law firm advertising which was not legal until that time.
Producer Eric Chaikin wrote in a letter to Shipp, “You seem to get that it’s possible to have a bit of a sense of humor about lawyer ads without making fun of lawyers in question. That’s what we’re after. Other agencies don’t seem to have much of a funny bone. We’d love to use some of your work in our film.”
The film premieres at the SouthXSouthWest film festival in Austin, Texas in mid-March.
